An experienced and award-winning educator, engineer, & technical consultant, Dr. Dot Oni has a strong passion for imparting knowledge. He has global technical and managerial experience; having practiced in four countries, spanning three continents for over four decades. His work focuses on the design and delivery of technical and business solutions such as cloud technologies, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Dr. Oni has over 30 years of teaching experience at the doctoral level.

As the Principal Lead at AT&T Labs. He contributed to several industry patents and was awarded the AT&T Service Excellence Award in 2010. Dr. Oni serves as a Chairman and Subject Matter Expert (SME) of over 60 doctoral dissertation committees and supervised the winner of the “Dissertation of the Year” Award at Northcentral University in 2012. He is a 4x recipient of Distinguished/Outstanding Faculty of the Year award from various universities.

As a member of the Healthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Council Joint Cybersecurity Working Group, Dr. Oni provided vital feedback and input during the open comment development period of NIST SP 800-66 (Implementing the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) Security Rule: A Cybersecurity Resource Guide.

Miye Oni is the Vice President of DotWave Solutions. He leads corporate strategic planning efforts and serves as the company’s liaison for government related matters.

Oni’s first endeavor in corporate building came in the retail space, when he founded and developed a custom sock company into a nationwide distributor in 2011. Ten years later, Oni founded a national real estate investment firm that holds and manages assets across the country.

Oni attended Yale University, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with focuses in International Relations and Organizational Psychology. At Yale, he served as the undergraduate representative of International Affairs for the Graduate School of Management (SOM). He is also one of two inaugural ambassadors for Connecticut CASA.
